The renowned 'Beluga' Caviar comes from the Huso Huso sturgeon and is indigenous to the Caspian Sea. A Huso Huso sturgeon can live up to 150 years and is the largest of the sturgeon species growing in some cases to nearly 12 meters in length and weighing up to 1 ton.
The Huso Huso only becomes caviar mature at a minimum age of 20 years making the eggs highly desirable. They are large, pearlescent light grey in colour and offer the richest and creamiest flavour and texture.
Imperial Beluga caviar is still considered by connoisseurs as the best caviar on the market today.
